I have been trying to export my audio files to opus, and it was often recommended online to use ffmpeg’s version. However, when i try to export the first option stated in the title is not present. I tried to do the second option of doing the second option in the title, but it also does not work as well.
Here are details of my setup:
Audacity version: 3.7.4
Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
FFmpeg version: 5.0.0
FFmpeg Library Version reported in Audacity: F(59.16.100), C(59.19.100), U(57.17.100)
That recommendation was for older versions of Audacity. Newer versions of Audacity have the actual Opus codec, so there’s no need to use the FFmpeg version (even if it is available). Just select “Opus Files” as the export format.
Ah thank you very much Steve!
Another thing i wanted to do but have no idea how to do it is make a macro for it. There were only a few export options and they of course lead to file types which are not opus files.
Any recommendations for this issue?
