WaveParse provides a suite of plugins for Audacity with powerful tools for track cleanup, a gain-only workflow for ACX compliance, and analysis tools for documentation and quality control.
A short video (4m03s) has been placed at YouTube, focusing on the Show Zeros plugin, a principal component of the cleanup toolset. It finds portions of the track with level too low to be true audio (pure silence and DAW keep-alive). The video shows how it’s used, how it works, and gives samples the sorts of issues it finds with evaluation as to whether repair is needed.
The examples are generally taken from actual audiobooks purchased and downloaded, showing how even carefully engineered tracks can still have problems. Besides the incredible (and adjustable) sensitivity, Show Zeros is fast (the example is 4s for the 21m track, though writing many labels can slow it down) and allows finding most issues without actually listening.

WaveParse is free. It is still in beta, but has proven extremely useful. There are nine core functions written in C++ as VST3 plugins, and about three dozen Nyquist plugins.
