I apologize if I come off wrong, I’m very angry right now because recording music is my relaxation.
This new Audacity update totally ruined everything for me. I wasn’t able to record on any new tracks, it would just record at the end of the instrumental track. Tried to fix it, now it does a stupid thing where it creates a new track every time I hit record.
On top of that, the recording latency is back (not even sure why this is a default thing) and I’m not able to fix it.
Very angry right now because the update has made Audacity totally unusable for me. Just looking for any help before I throw my computer out the window.
I hate it too. It’s hard to relax when you can’t just do the simplest recordings without a glitch. I can’t download the new version without paying for cloud storage and whatever version I do have is putting an echo in when I add a second track. Annoying as hell.
Make sure to directly select the recoding device. Don’t select Stereo Mix or anything that says loopback because they record what’s coming out of your soundcard.
