Need to add silence so the whole thing is 30 minutes long

Hello
I have a sound in the file, how do i add silence for a set amount of time after the sound?
tried copy and paste of the silence but it would not work.
version 3.3.3

Have you tried “generate - silence”?

generate has 8 options in this version.
none say silence
any other ideas?
