Need help with information about different types of audio subliminals and how to make them with Audacity

If the options are …
#1. an innate neurological glitch, (which are known to occur), or
#2. an external-agency trying to covertly insert thoughts in your mind while you sleep,
then the former is a far more probable explanation.

[ If mind-programming whilst-you-sleep technology existed
things like education & assassination would not occur ].

What if the audio content is carried on emf waves like FM and AM radio? A mere mic or sound recording software will not capture it.

Statistically 2 is more probable than 1, by that I mean someone is more likely to use various forms of subliminal or supraliminal brain washing techniques to force people to think certain way. I would like to know what your educational qualification to assert that someone suspecting their mind is being conditioned is only due to a delusion and not because of someone doing something like that.

Statistically ~1% of society has schizophrenia.
A larger percentage will experience delusions/hallucinations, either innate or drug-induced.

If the technology existed to program people’s minds when asleep it would be used instead of education,
which is expensive & time-consuming. Schools & Universities would be largely redundant.

This code:

;version 4
(mult (hzosc 14000) *track*)

modulates the amplitude of a 14 kHz carrier wave (AM encoding) with the audio track (the voice recording). This is “double sided” modulations, so the encoding produces frequency bands both above and below the carrier frequency, and there is no suppression of the carrier.
The resulting frequencies are like this, except that the frequencies are in the kHz range and not MHz:

14 kHz and below are well within human hearing range, so the high pitched squeaking noise is expected.

For the AM encoded audio to be silent, all of the following conditions must be true:

  1. The carrier frequency must be above the listener’s hearing range (that is usually > 16 kHz for young people)
2.The track sample rate must be at least 2 x the carrier frequency + 5000 Hz. So for a sample rate of 44100 Hz, the carrier frequency has to be around 17000 Hz.
  2. The encoding must be “single sided” (the lower frequency lobe removed).

Ideally the carrier frequency should also be suppressed.

These requirements can all be achieved with Nyquist code, but it’s a lot more complicated than the single line example.

Perhaps you didn’t use the correct frequency value. Decoding is like tuning in a radio - if you’re not tuned into the exact frequency then you’re not going to hear the show.

This is one of the reasons that I think it is highly unlikely that “silent subliminals” can work. Even when you consciously read instructions to decode the silent subliminals, and have Audacity and a computer to help decode, it is still quite difficult to decode. How then can we expect the unconscious mind to:

  1. Hear audio that is too high for their ears.
  2. Know what AM encoding is.
  3. Know what frequency to tune into.
  4. Know how to decode AM.
  5. Perform demodulation of an inaudible sound.

To me it seems highly implausible that the unconscious mind would be able to do any of that. Why should it have those magical abilities?

A more plausible form of “subconscious learning” would be to simply loop play a normal audio recording while sleeping, at a low but audible volume. I don’t know if or how well that would work, but it is at least plausible that it might work.

I do not accept it. Statistically a person is more likely to be implanted with an earphone and brain washed to believe certain things which to an outsider might appear delusional, schizophrenic.

Technology always progresses, if such technology exists, it doesn’t necessarily mean it will revealed to the public, it will be kept secret to harass people. Research into this has been going since 1950s and earlier, there are separate disciplines who constantly research into this, then the military has an interest in this to create better soldiers, subdue the enemy, whatever knowledge comes out of such research will be abused, like every piece of technology. Innocent victims become prey to it. Education works on a foundation, if someone used something like that on an aborigine it will not have any effect because they don’t have the foundation. Whereas if a person had knowledge of numbers upto 10 and a notion of multiplication, it will have an effect and they are made to hear 5 x 2 = 10 repeatedly, it’ll stick in the mind.

I believe what I specifically said was conditioning mind, not programming mind, conditioning happens when a person is exposed to a stimulus and forced to react in certain way, and this is repeated over and over, until it become automatic. So every time a person experience something similar to the stimulus, they’ll react in the same way. Human hearing is a specialized field of study, there many things in it, which lay people will never, some of the phenomena of human hearing can utilized to create subliminal messages, but it has to be tailored to a specific individuals hearing profile.

Does the subliminal effect produce this?

Could be possible, I don’t remember what frequency I used.

You and I are lay people, we haven’t done any research into human hearing, there are many researchers constantly doing research into human hearing, who knows what they might find, and some of their research will definitely be suppressed because such knowledge is power, power to harass people and control masses and only psychopaths and sadists get into positions of power in this world. They torture people just for fun. I think there is an ulterior motive behind the recent push to Hi-Res audio, it pushes audio frequencies of audio files upto 40KHz, even if there are advantages by higher sampling and bitrate, they could have still limited it to 20KHz, why all the way upto 40KHz? That is extra 20KHz which is inaudible to humans but the air pressure is bound to be felt by the human ear.

Sound is a mechanical wave and it travels through air, we may not hear anything above 20KHz, but ears are bound to feel the air pressure of higher frequencies, who knows how it is tied to our evolutionary survival skills. When humans lived in jungle, if a lion was approaching roaring, humans would have run away, but a snake, which is equally deadly wouldn’t be heard when it is moving, unless it raises it’s hood and hisses, by that time, human cannot escape, maybe the snake moving produces some ultra-sound which a human ear senses as air pressure and understands.

Silent Subliminal simply up-converts the voice into treble, which is still audible by the ear in young people but old people might feel the air pressure and understand the words corresponding to the air pressure, modulation may have a minor role in this.

I know from experience something is going on, there is an effective audio subliminal, it could be as you say repetition and may not involve any sophisticated techniques, maybe carried on a high-pitched noise.

This is not an admonishment, just a reminder.
Please can we keep this discussion focused on the use of Audacity for audio processing. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but this is not an appropriate forum for discussions about topics that are not directly related to Audacity.
Thank you.

Actually, I have.

Yes, the “subliminal.ny” effect (from here: https://forum.audacityteam.org/download/file.php?id=3848) produces “single sided” AM encoding.

I think engineering can come to the rescue here, too.

Google “Faraday Shield or Cage.”

Mike figured out how to shield against these things a while ago. We are warned that ordinary window screening (at least in the US) is fiberglass and not metal. Looks cool and keeps bugs out, but not much else. Chicken wire, while handy and dirt cheap, has holes that are too big. Do your research.

Meanwhile in California, It turns out that an ordinary metal Altoids container makes a terrific Faraday Cage for your proximity-firing credit cards.

Make a note of it.

Oh, and to bring this back around, pin one in an XLR connector …

… is connected to the shield braid of the microphone cable and the metal shell of the microphone. At the mixer or recorder, it’s connected to the metal body or cabinet thus forming a Faraday Cage around the performance. If you wondered what happens when that shield fails, it’s not pretty.

Even the Audacity filters and effects can’t bring you back from that.

Is the XLR connector for grounding?
