Need Help Diagnosing strange dropouts randomly for .0005 seconds

I’m having these strange dropouts that are only .0005 seconds but they are totally random and some longer 5-15 minute sessions, there aren’t any, but other times there are a few. Any ideas what’s causing it?

AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT 16 GB Graphics

Sequoia 15.5 OS

Take a look at this post.

Three things to try:

Close other applications while recording.

Reduce the window size while recording. It could be that the screen refresh is causing the dropout.

Go to Preferences > Audio Settings and increase the Buffer Length by 50 ms, do a test recording, and increase it again if the dropouts continue.

Question: is audio lost at the dropout, or can you delete the dropout and the audio sounds OK? I’m not suggesting this as a workaround, but to determine what is happening.

It depends. I can “repair” it and sometimes it fixes it, but other times it still has a popping.
