I just got a Roland TD-1K drum kit. My question is, simply:
Can I use an audio/aux cable to record the sounds of the built-in Roland kits directly into Audacity while playing along with a song from my computer/phone(recording both)? Not looking to record via MIDI/USB, just using an audio/aux cable. I thought I could go from the 3.5mm headphone jack on the kit to the line in/mic input on my laptop, but can’t seem to figure out how to HEAR what I’m playing while recording. Any help, or links to what I would need to do this would be much appreciated. Thanks.
