My timeline scrolls all the way to the left when my mouse cursor is in the window

Please help. I must have hit some random setting on the keyboard. It also happens to the volume controls, when I go to move them with my mouse, the automatically go all the way to the right. It even happens in audacity menus where the window is smaller than the content, the sliders move all the way to the right when I move the mouse into the window.

this almost sounds like an imput device is sending something continuously. Have you tried unplugging your mouse and keyboard or restarting your system?

Thanks, I updated the software for the mouse and it got fixed.
