My sound is scratchy and ess-y :o

Hey there!

I’ve signed up in this forum as I have problems with my video’s sound - although I’ve tried several Audacity plugins.

• 1st prob: The sound is scratchy
• 2nd prob: Harsh ‘s’ sounds. Even though I applied Spitfish De-esser and the plugin by Paul L (https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/updated-de-clicker-and-new-de-esser-for-speech/34283/1)

Mixing stereo down to to mono helps reduce the wide stereo ess …

[ The stereo-ess problem sounds like a sibilant mp3 with a bit-rate which is too low ].

Cheers. Mixed down to mono, de-essed with spitfish. better now (although far from good^^)
