So I’m trying to record myself singing songs on Audacity, and when I first got it, it was working perfectly. But now when I try to record, or heaven forbid I try to hold a long note, it’ll cut me off and then go back to recording a second or two later. It fixed itself just a few days ago, but now it’s back to doing the same thing again. Does anyone have any idea why it’s doing this?
If it is really a full second or two, then it is likely you have Sound Activated Recording Selected. Transport > Transport Options > …
I just checked it, but it’s not selected, never been selected. The thing is, the mic will keep recording, or at least it’ll keep moving, but it’ll just be a flat line when I’m still making noise.
