Hi, I just recently re-installed the newest version of Audacity and I can’t seem to fix this issue I’m having. I am using a headset with a built in mic for audio recording but I’ve noticed that even if I then mute the mic, my PC can still hear and record any audio that is being played from my computer. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? I am running Windows 10 and Audacity 2.1.2
Use the Audacirty Device Toolbar and make sure you’re recording just the microphone device, not StereoMix, What-U-Hear or any of the other “record everything” services.

Audacity is not the best app for recording game work. It doesn’t always “play well with others.” Games and expecially if you’re sharing a game on-line tend to take over the sound channels.
