Music Separation

I tried everything in the book to solve this problem. I re installed Audacity from the first to the latest version 3.7.0. I installed FFMpeg ver 5.0 as sujected, but to no avail.

I re instaleed audacity and AIVino about 4 times, but still to no avail.

I really but really need to solve this problem, because I do use some of this split tracks for my Yamaha keyboard, to compose styles, to play in the church.

I don’t know what the problem is but those avformat messages aren’t really “errors” and they are related to FFmpeg which is used to import/export various formats.

Nothing you are doing is related to FFmpeg.

So this won’t solve your real problem but if you are you on Windows, running FFmpeg_5.0.0_for_Audacity_on_Windows_x86_64.exe should install FFmpeg and it should work.

You can also go to Edit → Preferences → Modules to make sure mod-ffmpeg (and everything else) is enabled.

have you installed openvino? you can do so via Download Audacity AI Plugins

Okay, I see this:

I haven’t observed this error before. What was the ‘device’ that you had Music Separation set to, CPU?

done that. Not working. It is the music separation that blocks me.

I can only select CPU. Nothing else is available. And I think that is the problem.

Hmm, in this case it makes sense that only CPU is available – this generation of Intel processor (~2010 era Intel Celeron) wouldn’t have an integrated GPU supported by the underlying OpenVINO framework. I’m a little bit surprised that CPU doesn’t work though… although I have noticed some support regressions like this popping up… unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll get much help here from OpenVINO project – as your processor falls outside of the the supported devices (System Requirements — OpenVINO™ documentation)
