Multichannel with Focusrite Scarlett

Hello!

I am using a 3rd generation Focusrite with 4 microphone inputs. Audacity is limiting me to 1 or 2 channels. how do I get 3 or 4 channels? I thought the Scarlett would bypass any limitations of my soundcard. Is that not the case? IS there a way around this? Like designating 3 mono channels to different mics (which I can do in Reaper)? I don’t mind having to record 3 mics into 2 channels for this particular project, but I’m concerned I won’t be able to invert isolated channels if there is phasing (I’m recording a French Horn with 3 different mic placements).

Many thanks!

It does. But the sound still has to make it through Windows, and there are some tricks to that.

I’m not a Windows elf, so I’m going to start looking.

Still looking.

Oh, right. One more important one. ASIO software is a driver software gift directly from the angels…but Audacity doesn’t support it. Even ASIO4ALL. It’s a licensing thing.

I think this is as close as I’m likely to get.
