Multi-track recording with Behringer X18

I have a Behringer X18 18 channel mixer which can emit multi-channel audio over a USB cable. Is there any way to cram that multi-channel audio stream into Audacity? Where would I find documentation about this? Most of the documentation I’ve stumbled across is for very simple cases (mono, stereo).

Audacity is “not great” at multi-channel recording and it may not work but there is some information in the user manual. It might work better on a Mac than on Windows.

You’ll probably do better with a DAW.
