MP3 metadata output format for "year"

When I look at the tag information for an MP3 file that I’ve created (or modified) with Audacity, the year field is always in the format “yyyy\\yyyy”. Is there an option to change that to just “yyyy”?

There are several limitations or “bugs” in Audacity’s metadata handling.
