I have a Plantronics MONO USB head set: one mike, one earphone.
In Audacity recording, when I choose Windows WASPI I only get ONE choice, EITHER
- headset microphone (Plandtroncis Blackwire 310) OR
- headset earphone (Plantronics Blackwire 310) (loopback)
What I’d really like is to have two WASPI rows for inputs, one for Left and one for Right.
Could then assign the microphone to Left (my voice) and the earphone to right (the remote people on the call). Would then have each side of the conversation on its own track for separate level, EQ, etc.
This is for applications like:
- VoIP softphone
- uberconference (where I’m not the host)
- zoom (where I’m not the host)
etc
Its on a standard laptop with a standard, single 4 Pole TRRS jack (mono mike in, plus L and R line out). There are no traditional L and R line IN audio connections. No trouble assigning the earphone and recording that in Audacity, that that excludes the mike.
Stereo mix doesn’t seem viable when conference callers are geographically spread out (US plus UK) with 50ms+ delays.
Ideas?
