Audacity 2.3.1 alpha doesn’t launch. Error message appears. But after the instalation Microsoft visual c++ 2015 redistributable (x86) all is fine. Please, correct, that the program would launch at any rate.
Please confirm which version of Windows this happens on.

So I confirmed. Here with this: Audacity 2.3.1-alpha-Oct 8 2018.I have a suspicion that with others too, I just did not notice before, since this C ++ was already installed in the bundle with the video driver. And now the graphics driver has been updated and this C ++ 2015 is no longer included. And the program (after the update) stopped running until you installed C ++ 2015 separately.
I’m asking about your WINDOWS version.
Excuse me.
Thank you.
It’s quite unusual for Windows 10 to not already have Microsoft visual c++ 2015 installed. The developer’s are intending to modify the Audacity installer so that it looks for it before installing.
This is not Windows. This is a graphic video adapter. I am also very surprised. I’ll try to reinstall.
Yes that’s right. It is absent! Here’s what immediately after installation. That is, there is only 2017 (х64), and 2015 (х86) should be installed separately.
In audacity version 2.3.2, the problem was solved.Additional component now is not required. Thank you!
