Microphone Not Working in Audacity 3.7.7 on MacBook Pro

Hello Audacity Team,

I am using Audacity version 3.7.7 on my MacBook Pro 2015 (15-inch).

Previously, recording worked smoothly on older versions.

Now, my external microphone (Maono PD) is not detected in Audacity.

The app shows an error and cannot connect to the microphone.

The microphone works in other apps, but not in Audacity.

Please help me fix this issue.

What version of macOS? MBP from 2015 can use Monterey as the last Apple-supported version. However, with OCLP it can also run Sonoma or Sequoia.

System settings → Privacy and Security, does Audacity have access to “Microphone”?
