Message error 9927 while trying to record a set on audacity with djm 800

Hello everyone,

I’m encountering a problem while trying to record DJ sets using a Native Instruments Komplete Audio 2 with a Pioneer DJM 800 and CDJ 2000 setup on Mac OS Big Sur v11.4.

When I open Audacity (v 3.3.3.) and attempt to record, the audio interface is recognized, but there’s no input sound displayed on the software. The volume indicator remains inactive. In the preferences, I can see my input device listed as “Komplete Audio 2,” but the volume levels are not registering. Additionally, I receive error code 9927.

To provide some context, I’ve connected two TRC cables from the mixer to the audio interface, and then linked the interface to the laptop via USB.

I’m wondering if there might be a missing cable connection from the Komplete Audio 2 to the laptop’s output. Could this be the root of the issue?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
