i’ve got a drum loop–which i didn’t make–which is too long, so i need to trim it up. i’m doing this by ear, so i change the tempo of the song, slowing it down, so i can hear more precisely where the too-long drum beat needs to be cropped. but i’d like not to crop the audiofile until i get it back into the regular tempo. but a marker won’t work bc a marker doesn’t move with the audio when i change the tempo back to the original. ChatGPT said to use samples, but the samples change by changing the tempo too.
how can i select a point in a tempo-changed piece of audio, know what that exact point is, so when i changed back to the regular tempo, i can precisely select that audio point. then crop it?
