Is there a way to manually stretch a selected clip with the mouse? I have two tracks that are not in sync with each other and I need to stretch and shrink parts of the tracks to line them up. Time shift moves the whole track, and typing parameters into the change tempo feature would take dozens of guesses to line the tracks up correctly. I want to use the mouse to physically drag out a selection. It seems so simple, is there a way to do this?
I’m guessing no because Audacity doesn’t do anything in real time. But it should not take thousands of trials. Some arithmetic should do it.

Do you know why you have the sync issue? Two different USB microphones? Guitar and Voice performed on two different computers?

Dragging a clip to change tempo is a “feature request”. Effect > Change Tempo… has a length control, but the results it gives are not length-accurate. For length accuracy you should use Effect > Sliding Time Scale / Pitch Shift… .
