Hi Clever folks, I’ve used Audacity to fade in & out & adjust volume levels & Normalize in the past but this Macro thing I haven’t been able to find the correct syntaxes. I have the latest version 3.2.2 running on Windows7 x64 on my desktop & it runs just fine. I’ve also installed on my Windows 10 laptop & also runs great since my music is stored on an external drive.
At the dance school I train at I found their music to be much louder on the right channel than the left so copied their music folder to an external then uploaded it to my desktop machine to test & it’s definitely an issue in the mp3 files. I’ve tried to Normalize but that didn’t change a thing. I’ve tried to covert to Mono & that also didn’t change the left channel volume.
I then tried individually splitting the stereo track & adjusting the left up by 4dB & the right down by 10dB as a test & the sound of the exported file was a lot better (More equal in loudness).
It would take me weeks to manually adjust each file with the time I have available for such efforts so I was hoping for a guideline on how to set up a Macro to do it all in sequence for all the selected files, from anyone who has the knowledge to guide me through setting that up please.
