Macro Buttons in the Toolbar?

Now that Audacity has configurable toolbars in the UI, what would it take to afford the ability to add a toolbar that could provide a button for a macro?

I just discovered the Macro Palette after much rummaging around, but that floats on top of tracks, meaning I have to move or close it every time I want to look at what’s behind it. Meanwhile, there’s plenty of dead space going to waste next to the toolbars.

Thoughts?

I wanted a button in the toolbar too, but found it was just as easy to create a keyboard shortcut. I actually can hit a key faster than navigating to a button.
Edit->Preferences->Shortcuts then use the search field to find your macro, put your cursor in the empty field just above the Import button, type your desired keyboard shortcut, press Set, press OK.

That’s a great point having macro buttons directly in the toolbar would be a real time saver. The Macro Palette is useful, but it does get in the way when working with multiple tracks. Integrating macros into the main UI would streamline the workflow a lot. Hope the devs consider this.
