MacBook Air and sending Audacity to my Applications Folder

Hello,

I’m trying to download Audacity on my MacBook Air V 11.7.10.

When I download audacity it asks me to drag and drop into my applications folder

When I do that, it doesn’t let me finish the process. And no prompt as to what I should do.

Is my Mac too old? Or do I need to do a magic trick?

It seems pretty straight forward yet I’m about to throw this thing in the abyss!

What does “V 11.7.10” mean? macOS 11 (Big Sur)?

To install software, I think it is a good advice to be logged into your machine as a user with administration rights.
