Hi,
I’m adding splits to an audio file. I click a spot that I want to split, then click "Edit"and “Clip Boundary.” Then I use the arrows to add a empty space without any audio. When I save the document and then reopen it, there are no more empty spaces, as if I had never split up the audio. What am I doing wrong? I have Mac12.4 and Audacity 3.1.3.
Thank you!
Marla
Sorry, I can’t reproduce this fault.
I assume you do Edit > Clip Boundaries > Split after placing the editing cursor at the spot you want to split.
What do you mean when you say you “use the arrows to add empty space”. Audacity 3.1.3 no longer has the Time Shift tool, and uses the grab bar at the top of the each clip to move clips.
Could you post a screen shot of your project with the space between the clips, then another after you re-open the project and the space is gone?
