Apparently I need to create an Audacity account to download EQ curves. But I can’t create an account. There’s no link to register a new account. At some point I ended up in a “Wiki Media” login page, where I created an account, which I thought would work with Audacity. No joy. Wiki Media has no relationship to Audacity.
How do I register a new account for Audacity?
Which EQ curves, and where are you trying to download them from?
I don’t know where they come from. According to this: https://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/EQCurvesDownload#Available_Curves
I need to download the curves. It says to click “download.” But I have no download button. Therefore, I’m left to assume that I have to be registered with Audacity to see the download button. But I can’t register an account with Audacity.
I’m interested in a curve for Remington. According to this: https://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/EQCurvesDownload#Available_Curves
I have to press a “download” button to get the curves. I have no “download” button. I assume I need to register an account with Audacity to see the download button. But I can’t register with Audacity.
There is no download button, they are text links. For example, on this page: https://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/EQCurvesDownload#Available_Curves
the words that I’ve underlined:
“A number of specialised curves for old recordings can be downloaded from the EQ Curves Library section…”
Just click on the words “EQ Curves Library” to follow the link.
Similarly, the words “Playback equalization for 78 rpm shellacs and early 33⅓ LPs” are a link.
(The text links are actually written in blue (the rest of the text is black), but that may not be very obvious on some monitor displays.)
No log-in is necessary.
It says, “Left-clicking the “Download” link for a curve should download the file in almost all web browsers.” I ask again: where’s the download button?
I think I now have the curves. I’m not sure if Remington is in there. But I do have some curves. Thank you.
You’re welcome. Glad you got them.
