Well another bubble, where do I get the encoder that supports 2.0.2?

The current version of Audacity is 2.0.4, so you should probably update Audacity at the same time. The current version of Audacity is available here: Audacity ® | Downloads

Thanks for the speedy reply, but… with the new LAME files installed I’m not getting any audio with MP3 or WAV files. The AUP plays fine but not the exported file. Any tips?

Lame has nothing to do with WAV files, so Lame is probably not the problem.

Are you recording with a USB device? If so, please see here: Audacity Manual

If that is not the problem, please describe in more detail what you are doing and what is happening.
