Killerringer Not Showing Up In Menu

I downloaded Audacity 2.0.2 from a dmg file, and placed the resulting ‘Audacity’ folder in my Applications.
I’m running Mac OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard)

I downloaded the zip file of ‘killerringer’ and put the killerringer.dll in the plug-ins folder. I opened Audacity, went to Preferences: Effects and selected the ‘scan for effects ladedah’, pressed okay, closed and quit Audacity.

Killerringer is in your list of plugins that work, so that won’t be the problem.
It’s mentioned that 64-bit plugins don’t work with Audacity, but no amount of google searches told me that there was a 32-bit and a 64-bit version of the plugin, so I can only assume it’s 32-bit.

And yet, upon opening Audacity, it’s not anywhere in the Effects list.
Anything I can do?

Mac cannot run DLL’s. You will have to use Windows (or Windows under Boot Camp) if you want killerringer.

There is a Nyquist Ring Modulator here http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyquist_Effect_Plug-ins#Ring_modulator .

Or there is a “Ringmod with LFO (ringmod_1i1o1l, 1189)” in the LADSPA plug-ins package for Mac.

Restart Audacity after installing LADSPA or Nyquist plug-ins (no rescan is needed).

Yes, but on the same page…

I downloaded the zip file and had a look at it. It only contains a Windows version, no Mac stuff.

Edit: Gale answered while I was typing.
