Very odd. This seems to be very sporadic. It was working fine today and then all of the sudden, reverted to the action described above.
Hello Hello.. facing the same issue after the update.. instead of selection, it keeps draging the audio forward and backword.. specifically it happens when i am using mutiple audacity
I found that if you zoom out a bit on the full project - that doesn’t happen! Otherwise - no way of fixing it! I’d just downgrade it! Hope this helps!
We’ve just implemented a fix for this. We’re pushing it out most likely tomorrow.
Thanks a lot for your patience!
Anyone affected, please update to 3.7.7 that was just published: https://github.com/audacity/audacity/releases/tag/Audacity-3.7.7
Soon be up on audacityteam.org and in auto-update feed.
Help! just installed 3.7.6 yesterday and try to use it today andnow when I click on a track anywhere, it jumps and highlights a random section!! Different sizes, different places. And yes I’ve closed it out, shut down my computer, started over, etc. Why is this happening?? Have I done something?? Clicked on something random? I’m in the middle of an audiobook and have to finish this!! Thank you!
This was reported in the “Issues with selection tool” thread. There’s a link to an update that fixes things there.
Hi everybody, I was panicking yesterday. But my friend helped me. To, in the meantime, while they fix the glitch, go back to the most recent version of audacity, 3.7.5, go to Finder on your desktop – at least for Macs- and search for DMG. That’s the extension of various files. So if you search for that, then all your different versions of audacity should pop up. And you can pick 3.7.5 to go back to.
And it does not have this problem with the selection tool and the sliding tracks and the jumping highlighting, etc., etc.
Best,
Cat
What ?? Wow. Okay, I’ll go look for that too. Thanks!
