Hi all, I have been using Audacity for several years not had any issues until around a week ago. I record my Radio show using Audacity whilst streaming it live using BUTT. I have an Audio Interface (Scarlett Solo), and I am using Windows 11. I stream live from my Digital Controller (Denon Prime 4 Plus). After completing my Radio show and checking the recording part the way through of the 3 Hour Recording it suddenly sounds distorted and kind of crackily. But yet there is no issue whatsoever with the Live Stream, or if I listen to the output as it is streaming through the Audio Interface or through the Headphones on the controller. I adjusted the buffer size in Audacity as was suggested to 200. And then ran a test of just recording audio for a few hours and listening through my PC’s speakers, and about 90 minutes in started to hear the distortion through the speakers, but yet output was fine from controller to the interface and is not affected on the streaming side only on the recording. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Ignore my sense of humor.
If you go to your doctor, and say, “every time I hold my arm up like this it hurts” what do you think the doctor is going to tell you to do?
Every Brit will remember the late Tommy Cooper delivering the punchline to that joke. There was also:
Patient: Doctor, I broke my leg in three places.
Doctor: Don’t go to those places!
How do these responses help?. Seriously!
Mine doesn’t but, as you can see, it wasn’t directed at you.
