I have installed “iShowU Audio Capture” for recording streaming sound to Audacity.
But as soon as I start recording the “iShowU Audio Capture” as recording unit is grayed out. Recording starts but no sound is recorded.
Solution?
It is normal for the options in the device toolbar to be greyed out during recording because it is not possible to change the device settings during recording.
Getting a flat line when recording from “iShowU Audio Capture” indicates that there is no audio playing through the “iShowU Audio Capture” device.
I’ve not used “iShowU Audio Capture” myself, but I’d guess that you need to configure your sound system so that it is the default playback device.
