Is there a way to recover an original file after it Changes to file from audio.com? (Problems with Auido.com)

I made an audio file and saved it to the cloud; audio.com. Than I opened it again and made changes. I saved the file on my computer and than wanted to upload it again to the cloud but than a pop-up came that said theres a newer version of the file on the cloud and asked if I wanted to “save to cloud” or “discard and open file from cloud”. I clicked upload several times and it would just open the pop-up again. so i thought it already was uploaded and opening the “newer” file would just open the file that I was working on again from audio.com. So I clicked it but than it Discarded the file that was open and Just opened an Earlier version of the file from the site and all the changes I made were gone. Is there a way to retreive the file? I did save it on the pc before doing all of this. is there a way to look at audacity file history maybe? or in windows?

There is a recommended direction and I’m still looking for the instructions. Either changing the show on the PC takes priority, or changing it on audio.com takes priority. I’m digging in the manual. If you get it wrong, you get what you got. It keeps reverting to the “wrong one.”

You can get a fuzzy history if you didn’t close Audacity yet. You can Edit > UNDO and step back through all your edits.

But no. I believe once you close Audacity, it freezes the edits, versions, and files.

If the show is a single mono or stereo production, you can File > Export a WAV (Microsoft) sound file. Use a different show name that the regular name. That’s not a perfect backup, but it will be a lot better than what you got now.

If the show is a multi-track production, File > Save Project > Save Backup Project. Again, use a different showname than your regular name. That will make a perfect stand-alone project and leave you editing the regular show.

I’ve already made peace with the fact but still thank you for trying to help)
