You can get close with Audacity transport options.

Transport > Transport Options > Continuous scrolling.

That will move the cursor in the timeline from left to right drawing the waves as it goes until it reaches the middle. Then the cursor gets stuck and the waveforms march right-to left behind it. That may be enough for you.
