I need to mark many sections in a long voice record (a story) and than apply the same effect/macro on all of them.
Now I am doing it one by one.
I swear I answered this question a few days ago, but I cannot find it now.
The answer is no. There used to be a way to do that using Labels and locked tracks, but no longer.
Thanks, I might have asked this question before, but I really don’t remember.
Is there a reason to eliminate this function?
May be Audacity experts should consider to return this functionality.
For me it is needed as I am writing children books with animated animals and I am trying to audio record them. So in many section where an animal is talking I need to convert their voices. I wrote macros for each one and it is a tedious task to do it one by one.
There maybe is a reason. Or there is none, and the feature was just forgotten. Who knows?
Please note that this is a forum where users ask questions and other users (try to) answer them. It is not the helpdesk of the Audacity creators.
I imagine that macros are the very reason that functionality was lost. Macros probably depend on only one selection of audio to know where to apply the changes.
