I am using Audacity 2.0.5. I am an ESL instructor and would like to show my students intonation lines like for yes/no questions, wh-questions, and tag question compared to statements. I can do this in Praat but prefer some of the functionality that Audacity offers. Is it possible? Can someone provide easy to follow instructions?
If you click in the Track Name you can choose a Spectrogram view ( http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/track_drop_down_menu.html#spgram ) of energy per frequency band over time.
If you select some audio and choose Analyze > Plot Spectrum ( http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/plot_spectrum.html ) you can view dB against frequency for that selection.
That’s as good as it gets.
