Hello
I just downloaded Audacity (and the thing I needed to download to be able to export files as mp3s) on my new iMac (10.14.4) and all of a sudden the internal speakers don’t work. I can get audio to a bluetooth speaker, but not from the built-in ones. Anyone have any suggestions? I tried deleting and reinstalling Audacity. I didn’t delete the thing I needed to download to be able to export files as mp3s though. Can anyone tell me how, and I can uninstall both and then see what’s up? Thank you!
Do you get the Poit Poit Poit when you tap the volume up and down?
Apple (upper left) > System Preferences > Sound > Output. See where the Mac thinks the sound is going.
If you use the headphone connection, it’s normal for that to take over from the speakers.
Sometimes it’s best to disconnect all the Mac cables and restart.

I did not get the Poit Poit.
I was able to play music through my bluetooth headphones.
All of a sudden they are working again and the sound will play through the speakers. So weird, maybe it was some sort of momentary glitch?
