Intel OpenVINO install takes forever on Windows - what to do?

Hi, I just downloaded Audacity on my Windows10 Dell laptop and want to use it with Intel OpenVINO, but it only keeps installing FOR-E-VER, from Musehub.

The violet thing in the bottom is rolling & rolling and it says “Installing OpenVINO AI tools”, since I don’t know how many minutes, and I do’t see anything that would show the progress.

Any suggestions what to do?

I need a vocal remover RIGHT NOW, to use the instrumental tracks of my songs for a show, and the Audacity website says this is the plugin I should use for that.

Thanks in advance!

The OpenVINO model files are huge. Especially if you are downloading the largest ones or all of them.

Oh thanks, there is hope then, I just have to wait and be patient

UPDATE: it did take more than one hour… but it’s installed!

Thanks again @Wrecks0

Note that installing the plugins from MuseHub will automatically download / install all (or at least, most) AI models (and yeah, that’s a lot of downloading). If you instead download the plugin installer from here (https://github.com/intel/openvino-plugins-ai-audacity/releases/download/v3.7.1-R4.2/audacity-win-v3.7.1-R4.2-64bit-OpenVINO-AI-Plugins.exe) , you can select which models to install.

Furthermore, our next release of the plugins will allow user to install models directly from the Audacity UI.

Hello, thank you!

It has installed in the way I tried it in the first place, only it took more than an hour.

And it worked great with the first audio file
