Hi, I’ve tried installing FFmpeg following the instructions a few times and Audacity has been unable to locate the file. I see a few topics on this have been automatically locked because of no activity for 30- days - which is curious since the first two are less than 30 days old. Can someone help me resolve this issue? I’m trying to import mpegs from Zoom as audio input, and it’s not working.
Are you on Windows 64-bit?
Download and run FFmpeg_5.0.0_for_Audacity_on_Windows_x86_64.exe and you should be ready to go. (You may have to re-start Audacity).
After running the installer it should be in C > Program Files > FFmpeg For Audacity (mostly a bunch of DLL files in that folder). But Audacity should find it automatically so you shouldn’t have to look for it.
