As the title says, I cannot get any audio to actually record after installing the Linux app on my Chromebook. I hit record and it appears to be doing something but when I play the audio back or download the file and play it, there’s nothing recorded. I’ve played with the audio setup and I have no idea what’s going wrong. It’s like maybe it can’t access the microphone, but I don’t know how to fix it.
Any input source connected? What source? How connected? What settings? …?
The Chromebook has an internal mic, which is what I want to use. I’ve tried every recording device setting in Audio Setup with no luck.
I just figured it out and it’s ridiculously simple - there’s a setting to give Linux apps access to the mic that has to be turned on
