Hi
is it possible to import or input a fourier series graph into Audacity so that you can then play the sound associated with the graph?
Thanks
Peter

I don’t think so…
Do you have the raw Fourier data, or just a graph/picture? I doubt the image contains enough data unless it’s a very simple sound.
If you have the data, you could probably convert it to a WAV file with MATLAB (or a MATLAB clone). I don’t know how to do it, but I know that it’s possible to do a reverse Fourier transform.
Hi
thanks for your reply.
I’d have as many terms of the fourier series as I like and a graph of it in Autograph.
It would be a very simple sound.
I want my students to generate the fourier series mathematically and then I’d like to play the sound.
