Ik volume control on videos

The youtube videos are low quality because of an audacity dev glitch

When you record on an account, the tags are registered. Instead of recording via a mic, a phone has a register vol tag.

What???

Are you uploading to YouTube or recording from YouTube?

YouTube (and all of the popular streaming services) uses loudness normalization (AKA loudness matching) to make everything about the same volume. Overall most programs get lowered in volume.

There is no “volume tag” in Audacity.

Audio enhancements, e.g. Windows loudness equalization, will be baked-in to your recording of your computer sounds, (e.g. YouTube). Need to turn any enhancements off for a faithful recording…
