I used to reduce clipping by taking the volume down -0-1 degree - Now I can´t. Now I have to go to each instance of clipping (otherwise the whole track has to respond to the loudest clip or the reddest red. Anyone get rid of this problem
A limiter reduces all peaks above threshold in one fell swoop.
NB: No make-up gain.

The Limiter will “push down” the peaks without affecting everything else.
Effect → Volume and Compression → Limiter.
All of the other volume adjustments are linear and they adjust everything by the same amount.
P.S.
…too late!

Thanks so much. Very useful information. Any setting you would recommend for best results or is already set that way? Thanks again
Thanks so much. This is a solution I didn’t know about.
