I need help for removing background noise [ASAP]

I have two different files that represent the starting song with lots of background noise, and the other one that represents finished and corrected audio file.
You can get the starting file with background noise here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/27725433/With%20background%20noise.wav
You can get the final, cleaned file, here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/27725433/Without%20background%20noise.wav

The task is to remove all background noise from the first file, including clicks, crackles, murmurs, picks, etc using Audacity 2.0 and get a result like the second file. I started working with Audacity recently and when I searched the Internet I only found tutorials for this kind of problem in which I’m supposed to use Noise Removal. That works only for some background noise, and I need to know how to clean up the file completely. Could you please download those and try to help me since I have only two days left to learn this, I have an important test in Saturday.

If you know what tools should I use, please tell me, and if you have some tutorials feel free to post them!

Thank you in advance!

Have you read this article on the Audacity wiki? http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=Noise_Removal

I have, I tried most of those guidelines and still cannot remove all background noise. I have the biggest problem with short, loud noises that are in the middle of the music (not apart), if I apply Noise removal for example, I get silence in the song.

Could you please try to clean up the background noise and tell me what tools to use if you succeed?

Can anyone please try to help me out by fixing the file? I need to know this…

Okay, I have like three more hours to learn this. Could anyone please look at those files and write me step-by-step instructions!
Thank you, once again, in advance.

For the big noises that are on one channel only you could copy audio from the other channel and paste it over the damaged channel.

Have a look at “Plot Spectrum” (Analyze menu) and compare the two files. You could use the Equalization effect (Effect menu) to reduce that large peak, cut the very high frequencies and roll-off very low frequencies.

There are many ways to approach the task, so if this is a school/college project, check through your class notes as they will probably indicate the approach that you are expected to take.

Now maybe less than 2 hours!
I am competing too, and have the same problems! The task audio is so damaged. Everything I tried, million combination of effects included in Audacity didn’t helped. As you sad there isn’t good enough tutorial for our problem! From where are you Dusane, which school?

Technical school in Pirot, I think that I’ll have a sleepless night trying to learn this, it’s the only thing left to learn, besides a few questions from the theory part. You? Btw, good luck tomorrow…

@steve
Thank you, I’ll try all those.

P.S. Aren’t you stfankv93 form Z-training? We both went to Serbia’s Nationals in programming too, what a coincidence… My nick is dusanjov there.

If you manage to remove the sound completely please let me know

P.S yes and we both were in Nis!

I didn’t found any solution that will help us. I can suggest you just to be calm and do the best as you!
