I’m using a mic that isn’t very good and I get a lot of feedback from blowing when talking, how do I remove said feedback.
First, let’s make sure it’s feedback.
Feedback is when the sound comes out of the speakers, back-into the microphone to get re-amplified and back-out of the speakers again in an un-ending loop. It gets re-amplified every time through the loop, and with a PA system you get the classic feedback squeal.
Through the computer you get latency (a delay) so you usually get an echo, which can also grow uncontrollably out-of-control to maximum volume.
You avoid that by monitoring through headphones instead of speakers, or by turning-off the speakers/monitoring.
There are also ways of getting internal feedback if you have the wrong settings.
ok so how do i do this?
We can’t see you. What’s the microphone and how is it connected?
Are you trying to record just you and not you and something else?
Are you trying to musical overdub? Play a backing or rhythm track and then perform live to that track?
Describe the show.
