I usually use this program with no problems. But my PC got fully reset. I downloaded Audacity and the ffmpeg file in it. But when I press locate, I add the ffmpeg file location to it and press “ok.” Then it refreshes Audacity, but still no FFMPEG library is found.
Please help
If you are running the current 64-bit version of Audacity, download and RUN FFmpeg_5.0.0_for_Audacity_on_Windows_x86_64.exe.
It should install and you should be ready to go… You shouldn’t have to “find” it.
…You need the correct special version for Audacity. Other versions of FFmpeg downloaded from a different website won’t work.
And 64-bit Audacity requires 64-bit FFmpeg or 32-bit Audacity requires the 32-bit version.
Or if you have an older version of Audacity you may need an older version of FFmpeg.
