I have an idea for the Audacity software: to make a feature that when I upload a song into the software, it will translate the singer’s language into another language in the song that I choose from the list of languages, in the singer’s own original voice. I would appreciate a response from you. Will you do this in the software?
The translated lyric could have a different number of syllables in a line, if so it won’t match the music, and probably won’t rhyme.
This is what makes ABBA magical.
I’m still waiting for the developers to respond. Will you implement my idea above?
This is mostly a user-to-user forum so you may not hear from the developers.
I’m only a user (and forum moderator) but this sounds like AI, and I’d say “don’t hold your breath” for anything like that. There are some AI plug-ins for Audacity but serious AI runs on powerful servers on the Internet and integrating it with a free open-source application like Audacity might be tricky. You can’t control what 3rd-party web sites are doing. They could change something and it could stop working with Audacity.
