suddenly this occurs and do not know how to get rid of it. Please, help!

You either clicked on the Envelope Tool or pressed F2 accidentally. To remedy it, click the icon next to it or press F1 to get the Selection Tool. The two buttons I am referring to are on the top row to the left of the middle red arrow in your screenshot.
