I literally cannot find the .ny file people are talking about thats supposed to be on my computer and the manual isnt helping me. Everytime I try to download the nyquist plugin installer, I keep getting an error message that says “C:\Users\myname\Desktop\untitled isnt a valid file path” which is confusing me because thats the same file name thats used on the manual.
This is my first time using audacity help me please💔 theres no .ny files on my computer im confused as hell (im on windows)
The .ny files should be in Program Files > Audacity > Plug-ins.
Several .ny plug-ins are included automatically when you install Audacity,
The Nyquist installer is built-in. But I don’t think I’ve ever used it. I’ve just copied any optional .ny files to the Plug-ins folder. That’s all there is to “installation” of Nyquist plug-ins. (3re-party VST plug-ins normally require that you run the installer for the particular plug-in and they get installed to a different location.)
You may have to go to Tools . Plug-in Manager to enable some plug-ins so they show-up under Effect or Analyze.
I have everything enabled in the plugin manager for audacity. I found the .ny files in my program files like you mentioned!! but do you know how to get the installer to work if you dont mind me asking😅
Not gonna lie the manual isnt helping me im still confused😭 I located the .ny files on my pc but I just dont know what to do with the files or where to add them to be able to install the nyquist plugin.
