Hi, I’m gonna show a tutorial of How to use High-Pass Filter if you want to remove rumble, hum, or low frequency noise. If you want to set below 80 hz to remove it.
OS: Windows 11
Version: 3.7.4
Audacity has a pre-built rumble filter suitable for voice. It was designed for audiobook work after a similar filter applied in Outside Broadcast and Movie Production.
Select the work.
Effect > Eq and Filters > Filter Curve Eq > Presets and Settings > Facrory Presets > Low Rolloff for Speech > Apply.
I believe Steve the Fiddle designed it. It’s the first step in the Audibook Mastering Macro collection.
The curve is going to look like this. It’s a 100Hz rolloff if you’re counting.
