How to transfer the program from one pc to another pc?

I have 2 computers. An older laptop & a desktop. Tbe desktop doesn’t have an internet connection. & the laptop doesn’t have the input jacks I need to record the way that I record (I record with my old 4 track as kind of an interface, with everything connected to it, & then it’s connected straight to the PC. It actually sounds good; I have one of the 4 tracks that has a full mixer section to tweak the sound & levels, & I don’t ever use any effects or anything special.)
So I downloaded audacity to the laptop & want to transfer it onto the desktop but I can’t figure out how to.
I was hoping to try some other free DAWs & many of them aren’t what they - or other people claim. They’re either not free or difficult to use, if you can even use them.
I downloaded a couple & successfully transferred them to the other PC via USB thumb drive or whatever you wanna call it…so I know it can be done. I just cannot figure out how to with Audacity though-!!! Ugh!!!
Or is there another option??? (There’s also no ethernet port on the laptop; only USB, HDMI, SD, & a headphone jack.)

Also another question. Do the newer versions of audacity still have the same problem with multiple tracks syncing up???
I record music, so I record multiple tracks in each song. On the older audacity after recording a track & listening to playback, the timing is way off, they aren’t in sync. & getting them lined up & in sync is near impossible…whoever thought that was a good idea, I have to ask WTF is wrong with them!!!
But anyway, I’d like to know if they fixed that issue. If not, why does anyone bother to try to record music with it??? I mean if you’re a millisecond off, it throws everything else off, so yeah, it really is near impossible to drag & place clips or tracks exactly where they should (already) be. (& if you start at zero - at the beginning - for each new track they should already be perfectly in sync.

If you cannot launch the Audacity “.exe” file from your thumb drive,
copy it from the thumb drive onto the computer and launch it from there. [ Double-clicking on an “.exe” file launches it ]

Once you’ve measured & set the latency-compensation for a particular computer that’s it: set & forget.
